Nachbar is leaving Bausch & Lomb

This just in - David Nachbar is leaving his post at B&L. Long time readers know David Nachbar started and quickly stopped a possible primary bid against Eric Massa. From Morningstar - Business Wire.

David R. Nachbar, current chief human resources officer for Bausch & Lomb, has decided to leave the company after a transition period. He is considering various options including as-yet unnamed public service opportunities.

Any ideas how Mr Nachbar can contribute assuming he stays in the area?

I don’t know anything about him but if he’s a good potential progressive, why not figure out whether his county legislator is vacating his or her seat, and whether he’d want a run at that OR whether he’d be a viable candidate for county executive…if the Dems decide they ought to run someone for that top of the ticket, important, policy setting, influential type of position.
