Only in Monroe County is it surprising to hear this

Maggie Brooks on Renaissance Square:

Brooks said she doesn’t want work to start on the project until they’re sure they can finish it.

I thought for sure they’d try to force the issue by clearing the land.

Put through the Brooks Translation Machine:

Brooks said she doesn’t want work to start on the project until they’re sure they can find a way to intercept additional taxes and reassessments to fund the entire project so we can really soak Monroe County residents and still get our way and to make certain we have the television commercials produced to convince the community the project is ‘fair’.
