GOP on NY-25 (Jim Walsh’s Seat): Ruh-ro!

The chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee said Monday that the House seat being vacated by retiring GOP Congressman Jim Walsh of Onondaga will be a tough one for the Republicans to hold on [to].
“That (finding a GOP candidate) has not sorted itself out as well as we would like,” NRCC Chairman Tom Cole told reporters at a breakfast meeting.
Really?  Ha ha ha ha ha ha! That’s some funny understatement there. Especially when something just happened in a GOP-favored state senate district just north of NY-25. Now what was it? Some Dem won or something.
This doesn’t mean that NY-25’s Dem candidate Dan Maffei won’t have to work to win the election– he will, and should. But things are looking good.
