Minarik losing his touch? - Updated

More from the 48th.

Poor Steve Minarik.

Looks like he lost out to help out on the GOP side of the Special election in the 48th. From Liz Benjamin

Golden readily agreed that the Senate Republicans “made mistakes” in the 48th SD race, but credited Binghamton Sen. Tom Libous and SRCC executive director Ed Lurie, who are running the Barclay campaign, with retooling and turning things around about two weeks ago.

One key decision by Libous and Lurie was to dump Wahl Media, the
Rochester-area ad firm connected to former state GOP Chairman Stephen
Minarik, which was responsible for Barclay’s early TV spots. The GOP
has since hired an outfit from Washington, DC (no id on that yet) to go
toe-to-toe with Spitzer ad man Jimmy Siegel’s shop, which is working
for Democrat Darrel Aubertine.

yeah, Steve - keep holding out for Bloomberg.

[Update from btp:   Ah, this explains some of the Monroe County GOP messaging tricks we saw popping up earlier in the race:

[William Barclay] is trying out the Monroe County GOP’s tactic of demonizing our public schools for political gain.

Here’s hoping that the cancer of these hateful tactics doesn’t spread any further.]

Minarik’s all you can eat buffet on taxpayers funds is slowly, but surely, coming to an end.

It’s about time.

The words “touch” and Minarik in the same sentance makes me feel quite ill. I’m going to take a shower now.

So are you saying that Barclay had a minarikectomy, but the disease had progressed too far? Or that any treatment would have been unsuccessful as the patient could not be cured?

The minute the ink dried on the contract with Minarik’s loser political firm, the patient was D.O.A.
