If you’re travelling to the North Country fair

Today’s big political event is the special election in New York State’s 48th Senate District Btp wrote about this about six weeks ago. Republicans currently hold a two seat advantage in the State senate. A Democratic victory here would put all of us within one seat of ending Joe Bruno’s reign of terror.

Polls currently show the race — pitting Democratic Assemblyman Daniel Aubertine against Republican William Barclay — as too close to call.

You should be able to follow the results via the Watertown Daily Times. We will have more on this later.

(off topic)District 51- Abraham Lincoln as a human/animal hybrid pushing a vacuum cleaner. Think it’s been Gerrymandered?
Back on topic:
Hope Dan can pull it off!

After Dan pulls this off, look for Don Barber to pull one off in SD-51
