NY-26 bombshell

Jack Davis spoke to the Genesee County Democratic Committee tonight. According to a few of my Genesee County sources, he spoke like someone who was in the race. At one point, he questioned why the Genesee County Democrats would endorse NY-26 Democratic candidate Jon Powers. Apparently, he labeled such an endorsement as premature because he deserves a chance.
Davis mentioned a few things that were interesting, to say the least.
(1) He said at one point that he could go to Washington and take on Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel and others in the House Democratic leadership.
(2) Davis claimed that Monroe County Democratic chair Assemblyman Joe Morelle, Niagara County Democratic chair Daniel Rivera and Erie County Democratic chair Len Lenihan will all side with him, not Powers.
I couldn’t believe he said what he did about the House Democratic leadership. We don’t elect Democrats to go to Washington and fight the Democrats. If we want to get rid of Bush Democrats (Al Wynn anyone?) we beat them at the ballot box. Not on the floor of the House.
Also, keep in mind that Davis claimed back when Jon Powers declared that Lenihan would endorsement him no matter what. That was pretty cocky of Davis. But now, he thinks Morelle AND Rivera will back him. Rivera I could believe, but Morelle? I don’t buy it.
Davis is obviously losing it a little. I hope that local Democrats realize this time around that he’s proven he can’t win and that we have a real shot at taking back this seat with Jon Powers.
I cringe at this thought. Rarely do you have a chance like the one Davis has last time around, with Foleygate dropping right in his lap, and still lose!
Our (technically my former, for now) district needs something other than a one-trick pony to face off against Reynolds.
He might be inclined to make the statement because he has deep pockets. It’s also possible previous promises were made.
Davis thinks that money buys love. Note to Jack: You had your chance - the time has passed. Rivera, Lenihen and Morelle - that’s 3 votes - and that’s if you get those 3.
Enter if you must - a primary will decide the outcome. There is another candidate as well, Alice Kryzan who has thrown her hat in the ring.
But my heart belongs to Jon Powers - ALL THE WAY TO WASHINGTON!

Between Powers and Massa, this place called NYS is ALIVE again. And we won’t let Davis or anyone else put that stake in our hearts.
And the BEST part about ANY conversation regarding the 26th is that REYNOLDS IS DONE!
Once those photos resurface with him using those innocent children as human shields to deflect those conversations about his involvement in protecting that pervert Mark Foley (it’s about time for another Foley update too - thanks Jack!) it’ll be just like the last race in Greece - Reynolds lawn signs firmly planted in TRASH CANS in Greece. Was a beautiful sight.
