Gantt Apologies

I think he made an inappropriate remark and am glad he apologized. Unfortunately his remark distracted fro the real underlying story - the merit-based selection process was replaced by a political one. A political person was appointed by a slim 15-14 majority. This person, because of the selection process, is tainted.

Here is a News10 NBC clip of Gantt news conference.

I’m disappointed with the closing interview of Chris Wilmot - He is not fan of Gantt and it seems to be added as filler, a face in the crowd, to fill some time.  But, this statement by Wilmot bothers me:

“I’m not sure it was an over-reaction. There were a lot of police officers. I know some people felt roughed up. But on the other hand, these proceedings have to stay civil and some people just aren’t civil.”

Yeah, “felt” roughed up. I’m sure Mr. Wilmot wasn’t even close to those who felt roughed up.

I suppose it will be civil when the people don’t show up? Please.
