Final cost estimate on Randy Kuhl’s Brazil trip

F29th has a video link to Channel 13’s latest report on the cost of Randy Kuhl’s trip to Brazil. The total cost is $4,000 for hotels and per diem expenses and a whopping $28,000 for air travel. Military aircraft typically cost about $10,000 per hour.

Kudos to Channel 13 and Evan Dawson for tracking this down.

And we stress here that this kind of wastefulness — 28K for military air travel that would cost a fraction of that on a commercial carrier — is sadly typical of Congressional travel.

I still want to see exactly what happens as a result of this trip. I predict that our old buddy John R. Kuhl will do absolutely nothing as a result of this trip. I hope someone asks him in a few months when gas prices are $4/gallon.
