This is too funny

This came in through my google alert for “Maggie Brooks” and, though, it’s old, I thought should share (from a blog called “Musings of a New York State Conservative“):

I pause and give Steve Minarik some due credit. Maggie Brooks will be governor someday because of the good work he’s done in Monroe.

Just for fun, here was another of his election night (the post was from November 2007) musings:

This baklava is phenomenal. The Democrats are probably eating store-brand chocolate chip cookies at their gig.

I should add that I actually like this blog in general.

[Update: btp here, with something funny from NYCR's comments. They're talking about a political position the GOP Onondaga county exec created for a "second-rate political hack", Ben Dublin (R). Why do we care?

How about Dublin's mentor John Durso Jr...i heard he got canned from Monroe County...any truth to that?

We asked Durso, former spokesman to Maggie Brooks, for a response. We got:

John Durso, sharing the love
John Durso, sharing the love

Update 2: btp again.  A reader reports that Durso's out of the public eye, but still working in the Brooks administration:

he is definitely working for Brooks as of today, although not as her communications director. His new title is somewhere below the director, but he remains in the communications department.

Perhaps he angered The Minarik?  Or maybe his picture above reminded folks of what the administration's attitude really is behind the smiley photo ops.]

Put the republican statement through the Broomarik FAIR Translator Machine:

he is definitely working for Brooks as of today, although not as her communications director. His new title is somewhere below the director, but he remains in the communications department.

Translation:

He’s no longer working for Brooks. As of today, she has a new mis-communications director, and he’s been exiled to Long Island on a permanent haitus.

He must’ve withheld his “dues” from his county paycheck this month to Minarik. That would be the only crime low enough on the GOP totem pole to warrent exile.

We know lying, cheating, profanity, and bird-flipping are acceptable. But withhold money to the “Friends of Maggie” fund? Reprehensible!

Cake or death? Cake or death?
