Penfield Blogger: Cool Use of Video in a Blog
The D&C’s Penfield blogger, John Wilkie, posted about a lawsuit against the town, based oon this article from the D&C a few weeks back:
Debate over a new restaurant slated to move into the Four Corners business district continues. The owner of a neighboring senior living community has filed a lawsuit claiming the Town Board did not take the necessary steps before it approved plans for Matthew’s East End Grill to take over the vacant building at 2126 Five Mile Line Road.
Anthony Marasco, managing partner of Village Wood at GrandeVie, argues in the suit that light from the restaurant and noisy late-night customers will disturb his residents.
Instead of taking anyone’s word for it, Wilkie took a really short video as he walked back behind the restaurant towards Village Wood, narrating as he goes. It’s quite effective.
(Look for the post entitled: “Too much noise !! I wonder ?”)Â (And D&C web techs– make your blog post titles linkable, dammit!!!!)

Agreed, sweet use of video. The funny thing is that they’re debating a bar and grill, not some nightclub.

Go to the comments page and the post title there is the link. It’s just that easy.
I suppose there is a difference between an empty parking lot now because the I believe both business’ are out and a new business which will fill the parking lot.
I’m not against the new business- I’m late to the party here - but I’m sure there will be bright lights, honking car horns and alarms - people hanging out and so on. Sound does indeed carry. The residents in the quiet zone should be concerned and have those concerned addressed -
In the end - I’m sure an accommodation can be reached.
