Kuhl votes against veterans, again

Yesterday was Veterans Day, today is the observable holiday where schools, post offices and banks are closed. Last Friday, our illustrious congressman, Rubber-stamping Randy, once again showed his disdain for our veterans by voting against this bill, HR 3996, which, among other things, has these provisions:

(3) the taxpayer election to include combat pay as earned income for purposes of the earned income tax credit; (4) special rules for qualified mortgage bonds to finance home purchases by veterans; and (5) tax-free distributions from retirement plans for individuals called to active military service.

Randy’s opponent, Eric Massa, had this to say about it:

Randy Kuhl knows that this was a good bill, but clearly he was ordered to vote against it at the request of the White House,” said Democratic challenger Eric Massa. “Randy Kuhl portrays this as a tax hike, and if you happen to make millions of dollars every year and irresponsibly hide your money in off shore tax shelters, then I guess it is. For working American families, it’s a tax break and I think it’s time the privileged Americans start paying their fair share just like the rest of us. This is another clear cut case of the Washington D.C. Republican party standing up for millionaires at the cost of working Americans.

In the last sentence, Washington D.C. Republican party, and millionaires, are interchangeable from what I can see. It’s simple algebra, if a=b, then b=a.

Actions and pictures speak much louder than words.
