Shameless

Randy Kuhl is playing the immigrant-bashing card for all its worth (from Erin Kelly at the D&C political blog):

Republican Rep. Randy Kuhl of Hammondsport is seeking a House vote condemning New York and other states that plan to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.  Kuhl is collecting signatures from his House colleagues to try to force a vote on a resolution saying that states should not give licenses to immigrants who entered the United States illegally…In a letter to his fellow House members, Kuhl warned that the plans could compromise national security by making it easier for potential terrorists to obtain identification that allows them to board airplanes and enter government buildings.

This is the kind of thing politicians do when private polls show them trailing their opponents by eight points.

One of the few things I’ll ever agree wtih Minarik on - it worked for them on the local elections. Why not take the show on the road?

No shock here… Randy Kuhl is running a fear based campaign and exploiting the immigration issue to his benefit is page one of his Tom DeLay/Karl Rove playbook.
