This will leave a mark
Voters in Pittsford received a mailer from the Pittsford District School News that will probably have a big impact on Tuesday’s races in Pittsford. The jist of the mailer is that Pittsford schools will lose 2 million dollars next year under Maggie Minarik’s FAIR plan.
This, my friends, is where the rubber hits the road. People in Monroe County may be scared of immigrants, they may believe that the city of Rochester is a giant crack den, and they may listen to altogether too much Bob Lonsberry, but they also care very deeply about their local schools. This is especially true in Pittsford.
School districts were the wrong target for Maggie Minarik to take on. Why they did so is a mystery to me. This much I know for sure: Republicans will have fewer seats in the county legislature come Wednesday morning than they do now. And the FAIR plan will be a big part of the reason why.

It’s interesting to contrast this mailer with the mailers and public statements by the GOP. It is four-pages of easily digested facts, and they’re all damning for the FAIR plan.

Dang. Can MCDC hire whoever put together this piece for Ms. Price, to fill in for their communications staff? This person(s) know what they are doing. They know how to cut to the chase and layout a cogent argument.

You should hear the robocall we just got - Morelle saying we have a chance to make a difference and have a Dem majority in the Leg. But not one reason why we should do so. *sigh*
Heard from a friend in Pittsford today that Maggie was walking the neighborhood. Damage control? But what if she’s become as toxic as King George? The GOP must think that her personal charm will blind people to her political malevolence. Hopefully, we’ve all taken off our rose colored glasses and can see the clothes the Empress is really wearing.
