Now, Global Warming affects the price of Beer, arrrrgh!

Beer prices are going up.

Bio-fuel corn crops are crowding out beer crops like hops and barley.

The local impact on Thursday night’s Drinking Liberally can only be imagined.

Fuel, aluminum and glass prices have been going up quickly over a period of several years. Barley and wheat prices have skyrocketed as more farmers plant corn to meet increasing demand for ethanol, while others plant feed crops to replace acres lost to corn.

And then there’s the weather:

Australia endured its worst drought on record. Hail storms across Europe damaged crops. Extreme heat in the western United States hurt both yields and quality.

It looks like in trying to solve one problem, we create another. When will the madness stop?

I don’t have a problem with that. I wonder where Hillary stands on this issue.
