More Malta humor
We told you earlier about Dave Malta’s sleazy mailer which suggested that helping special needs kids was for losers. Now, Malta is saying it’s not his fault (from the D&C):
Malta said that had he known the nature of State Road’s student body he probably would not have sent out the mailing. He blames the state for not pointing out in its statistical report that Gumina’s school has a high number of special education students. “Shame on them,” Malta said.
What a loser.

In other words, he’s not in touch with what’s going on in his community, so he needs to blame others for not doing his own homework.
His reaction, “Shame on them” just continues to demonstrate his approach to politics, blame everyone else, even though you’re the problem.
The Goodman piece in the D&C lists this about Malta’s statement:
he probably would not have sent out the mailing. (Bold is my emphasis.)
Malta is still hedging, can’t even take a firm stand against this even now that he supposedly just found out this school has a high number of special ed students.
He doesn’t get it. Test scores are inaccurate anyway and they are certainly not the only measure, or even a valid measure, of a school’s or a student’s success.
He’s blaming others, blaming the poor performing kids and blaming the state for not doing his homework for him. Wonder what his test scores would be? Yes the consistency continues. “Malta, it’s your faulta.” Take responsibility.
Sleazy move Malta. It must be fun for him to run into families with special needs kids in the Webster Wegmans now. They probably have all kinds of glowing support for him.
Of course he could just move out of his district to avoid seeing constituents. Who would know?
