What is missing in his piece is that School districts - All school districts approve their budgets - in fact the public approves their budgets via series of public hearings. That is the point..

I’d really like to see folks in the community write some good LTEs on this issue, to address this argument. I’ve heard it numerous times now. Unfortunately, to properly address such an argument, its so easy to run over the D&C’s LTE word limit. I guess you’d need to just cut to the chase with a series of bullet points.
