More driver’s license craziness

This is out of control (from the Buffalo News):

Illegal immigrants who try to apply for driver’s licenses in Erie and Niagara counties will be subject to arrest — and deportation — under a plan being developed by the two county clerks and law enforcement officials.

The move is the latest — and potentially most serious — challenge to Gov. Eliot L. Spitzer’s new policy to permit illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses if they possess a valid foreign passport and other identification.

It’s worth noting that Erie County has an even worse history of county government mismanagement than Monroe. For example, they seem to be the one county in the state (there may be another, but I haven’t heard of it) with an even worse bond rating than Monroe County.

This has nothing to do with the blog you have up but I didn’t think you’d see it elsewhere.
I was told that many of you were wondering why Ray DiRaddo has two residences. He gave us an answer at the Meet and Greet last night. It’s toward the bottom of the blog. You can read it there. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/blogs/greece/

“Ray DiRaddo answered that his house was deeded over to his wife in March 2007, in terms of their separation. He has been living at Northgate since April 1, 2005. He was quite upset and continued by saying “The fact that you gave credence to that site is insulting, it’s a rag of a website, the worst website I’ve ever seen, they think things up”.”

Another family values republican. I wonder why his marriage failed, gays aren’t even allowed to get married yet. That’s the #1 threat to the sanctity of marriage, right?

I’m confused. What about this comment earlier, “I just checked the county clerk’s office and he’s NOT separated OR divorced either!”

  6. That’s kind of a low blow about his marriage. I have no interest in his — or any of the candidates’ — personal lives.
