Kuhl Getting RoboCalls on War
I actually answered my phone today, and what did I hear but a mellifluous robot whispering sweet politics into my ear:
“Hello, I’m callling from American Family Voices. Congressman Randy Kuhl has taken over $28,000 in contributions from the oil companies, yet Congressman Kuhl has never asked if oil was the real reason behind the Iraq war. Now the Bush administration is preparing for another endless war - this time with Iran. Call Congressman Kuhl and ask him if he supports bombing Iran’s nuclear installations, and whether our country should go to war with Iran.”
According to the right-wing, it’s all Soros funded. Just like RT, I guess…. The Times says they’re funded by AFSCME.
Anyways, what’s it mean? It means that people in Washington realize that the 29th is an important district: one that’s up for grabs in the next election. This is good news.
My one complaint: maybe next time actually include Kuhl’s phone numbers…

Anti-Iran War Robo-Call…
Itchy over at Rochesterturning got robo-called by American Family Voices. The subject of the call was the possibility of war with Iran, and the text is included in his post. ……
Hi,
I actualy run a non-partisan non-profit org that is working to eliminate robocalls. We are working on getting transcripts of calls from all sides of the aisle and wanted to see if we could use this transcript to do some fact checking and post on our website?
Let me know,
