Tom Tobin is a moron
I take back every good thing I ever said about this clown. Here he is on Gore’s peace prize today:
…anyone who travels as much as Gore and lives as lavishly, is inherently hypocritical on the issue of energy waste, though I don’t suppose we can have a former vice president living in a cave and driving a horse cart to his speeches. Peace Prize notwithstanding, Gore would not be a good president. He wears elitism like a second skin. JFK went to Harvard but he never made you feel that he did. Gore does.

Same old, same old. Can’t they come up with a new objection to Al Gore?
As for “elitism”…. GOOD. I want an elite person as my leader. Given a choice between that and a phony common-man, the answer is clear.
I am speechless. Tobin has obviously never met the man. Al Gore is one of the most affable, down to earth, easy going guys you’d ever want to meet.
What an ass!!
I love how every other world leader gets a pass, but Gore has to explain every flight to Fox News
Maybe he should walk from one state to the next to give speeches?
This shows a real lack of class - just let Gore have his day in the sun and shut up about it. I’m not a Gore fan, but whatever you want to say about the guy, he’s doing this global warming thing out of a real sense of conviction.
From my limited reading of his work, though, this kind of cheap-shot is pretty standard fare for Tobin.
I can’t believe that the Washington Post would do this… or maybe I can.
They have all the hoopla surrounding Gore and his NPP win, then look below that and you get this: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/?hpid=topnews
No kidding. They’re actually calling out the “facts” on climate change, trying to make Gore sound wrong on the issue. But this comment summed it up best:
Wouldn’t it have been nice to have a fact checker before the Washington Post led the charge into the Iraq War.
This is why journalism as a profession makes me want to vomit.

I agree. The same people denying global warming tend to also support the war (with the exception of some libertarians out there who get all their info from AEI or the “Skeptical Environmentalist.”
Tom Tobin doesn’t want an intelligent person as president. He prefers frat boys. Look where that has gotten us.
[...] I found myself so annoyed by Tom Tobin’s irrational hatred of Al Gore (see his posts here and here if you’ve got the stomach for it) that I was unable form a coherent reply. So I [...]
