Here follows a completely shameless plug for Bob Smith’s radio show: 1370 Connection.

It’s probably the most thoughtful two hours of local media available. Bob is an incredible polymath; I’m always impressed by his encyclopedic knowledge of local politics. He’s very fair, and very balanced, in the pre Fox News sense of the words. There’s a remarkable contrast between Bob’s inquisitiveness and a certain other local radio host’s reactionary conservatism and religious fundamentalism.

Tune in to AM 1370 from Noon to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday (repeated from 9:00 to 11:00 PM.) If you can’t get their signal, you can stream the audio from their website.

The second half of this afternoon’s show concerns “The Voice of the Voter Poll of Monroe County Residents”, with Larry Harris of the Mason/Dixon organization.
