Palumbo Resigns as Minority Leader
This is old news, but Carla Palumbo, the Democratic leader in the Monroe County Legislature since January of last year, is stepping down. She’s running for a seat on City Council, instead.
Her replacement as minority leader will be Harry Bronson, of the 24th District (SE Rochester, western Brighton, and northern Henrietta.)
That’s all I’ve got, so this is an open thread. Is she resigning from her seat, or just from the Minority Leader position? Did she get pushed out? What’s Bronson going to do to counterattack all the FOUL business, and help give Dems the edge in the upcoming elections?
Anyone?

Is she term limited out of the county leg? If so, it makes sense for her to step aside in favor of someone who will be there a while.
I heard she decided to run for city council because she was tired of being in the minority. That’s what the republicans have done. Those who really want to make a difference, but are unfortunate enough to be in the minority, are shut out from all decision making.
I’m pretty sure she has only resigned as minority leader.
Harry is my County Legislator. He is a great guy and I know he’s going to do everything he can to win back the leg, which should be the goal of every last democrat in monroe county.
To confirm, she is term limited.
