Gore wins the Nobel Peace Prize!
Gore said he was “deeply honored,” adding that “the climate crisis is not a political issue it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity,” according to a written statement.
So now the big question is will he run for president?
This is as good as time any any to remind everyone’s of Ladkiddo take on Gore’s run as well as the upcoming discussion of his book - Assault on Reason.

Deserved. Congratulations Mr. Gore!
Gore’s not going to run. Now he has gotten over the election and has soared to a whole new level with the culmination of his lifelong efforts on the environment’s behalf. Now he is wanted. If he runs he will be hoping to be wanted. Frankly, running for president is a step down from the world stage. He should run for U.N. president.
I agree with you.
I’ve love to see him run but don’t see it happening.
RE UN president. I’m sure members of the permanent security council don’t qualify or historically are not nominated. I’d have to look it up as that is from memory.
I couldn’t find much on it but it seems there is no rule against becoming Secretary General, though most nations don’t want the leader to be from the world’s most powerful nation. Gore would be in contention with Bill Clinton on this issue though (although maybe not now that Hillary is running for president).
I don’t think it is a law more as an unofficial agreement. No matter.
Very surprising, I thought Bush was a shoo-in…
Um, that is the War prize but lets give Gore his glory w/o Bush.
Academy Award, Emmy I think and now Nobel Peace Prize. Might be time to recall if Gore was president.
