Curious/Uncurious George

Curious George, a toy made in China and shipped to the US has been found to have 10x more lead than the acceptable level.

I submit that China should totally halt production and shipments of Curious George (which is an oxymoron anyway) and the US should immediately start production of Uncurious George which we could produce and market right here with safety standards a bit higher and jobs created as people clamour for a doll representing the current president of the United States.

Import/Export aside, what does the Wonderful World of Homeland Security think about these recent attacks? What color do we assign to the multiple threats that have been launched against our pet food, our people food, our baby bottles, and our toys?

Can we get the crayon box out and find a color appropriate for China? Oh…let me guess, we can’t use red because they own our green?

Oh no - not George! Is anything safe? These recalls are getting out of hand. I’m afraid that this is only the beginning and we’re going to see alot more as we get into the Christmas time. I now go to http://www.leadtoyrecalls.com every day to make sure I have the latest news.

It’s also got guidelines for toy safety and a list of safe lead-free made in USA toys and where to buy them.
