Interesting series at the Mercy Prayer Center

Via the D&C: “The Mercy Prayer Center will host a four-week series this fall aimed at helping voters identify their own values and apply them to electoral choices in national, state and local elections.”

The four programs are:

Oct. 29, “Knowing Yourself as a Citizen Seeking Integrity,” featuring William A. Johnson, former Rochester Mayor and Distinguished Professor of Public Policy and Urban/Community Studies at RIT;

Nov. 5, “Discerning Your Choices, Getting Free of Prejudices,” with Margaret M. Mattle, Sister of Mercy and Mercy Prayer Center associate;

Nov. 12, “Assessing Candidates and Calling Them to Accountability,” with state Sen. Joseph E. Robach, R-Greece, and former Democratic Rochester City Councilman Wade Norwood;

Nov. 19, “Reviewing Candidates’ Values and Platforms in Light of Social Needs,” with Barbara A. Moore, Sister of Mercy and associate faculty, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School.
