SCHIPS on a stormy ocean, or, “The seas were angry that day, my friend”
Children’s health care should not be something to play chicken with. Children’s healthcare should be a given in any civilized society. Pretending that it precipitates socialized medicine to get your own twisted point across is just so much political garbage. No wonder people get disgusted with politics until they pull away and refuse to participate anymore. And don’t the Repos just love it when they do!
From Huffington Post, today, addressing those who would vote against this “no-brainer” piece of legislation:
Show some fortitude this time. Children should bring out the best in us. Millions await your courage to protect them from preventable, often irreversible illnesses. They are the single most important reason to step beyond pettiness and pernicious politics to make things better. So don’t give us any more gibberish. Forget the promises. We want action this time.
Let’s remember the “dreg” that btp posted about and get our priorities straight for once. Reynolds, Kuhl, get with the game (and I’m not talking about “chicken”).

“The seas were angry that day, my friendâ€ÂÂ
Like an old man sending back soup at a deli.
I so knew you would get it.!
Is there a Marine Biologist here?
“So I started to walk into the water. I won’t lie to you boys, I was terrified! But I pressed on and as I made my way past the breakers a strange calm came over me. I don’t know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things but I tell you Jerry at that moment I was a marine biologist!”
Bush has vetoed 4 bills with 3 of them involving health issues. The 2 stem cell and now the SCHIP. Rubber stamp Kuhl nor any of the others who oppose the bill do not care about people, just the rich who give them money.
