Notes from Brooks presser
A reader describes the Brooks press conference from earlier today:
I thought it was amazing that some of Brooks’ young assistant were laughing on the sidelines while she was speaking, but, other than that, it was just a generally disgusting thing. The room was PACKED with republicans. Minarik was there. It was well choreographed with fancy placards turned by attractive young women. The entire Republican legislature caucus was standing behind Brooks; like good little lapdogs. The Legislature Democrats kind of staggered in as if they had literally just arrived. It was all around pathetic.

I was laughing tonight as well. At the end of the county legislature meeting, Maggie was rushed away to the elevator by her entourage and a security guard…gee, what are you afraid of Maggie??
I was laughing at the scene of Maggie rushing to the elevator. Maggie saw me and must have thought I was smiling at her because as the elevator door was closing she smiled back to me and said hello.
Maggie, I was laughing at you, not smiling at you. There is a difference.
