I don't know why the D&C wrote the op-ed and your speculation makes sense. I wasn't' kind in my post. Can Durso get away with this stuff? Sure - as long as the public lets him. How does the public know? Well - They get their news Via TV and the newspaper. The newspaper and the rest of the media helped created this mess. Let's tie this to COMIDA. The D&C had a great article covering the public hearings at the MC Legislature, it appeared the next day. When will the next article on COMIDA be written? Who knows. No dig on the article, but I believe you could really dig into COMIDA and shed light in that area. Any takers when the next COMIDA article will be written? He is right to say "Yeah well, we are going to be re-elected anyway". They are right to feel that the power of the local print media should be respected because its editorials should have some sway in the election.
