Rochester City School Board Candidate’s Night

The Social Justice Council of First Unitarian Church is sponsoring a candidate’s night on Sunday, September 9th, at 7:00PM. The church is located at 220 S. Winton Rd. All are welcome; you don’t need to be a church member or anything like that.

Candidates will give brief presentations, moderated by WXXI’s Peter Iglinski. A question and answer session will follow.

City residents, we’ve let the school board coast for too long, as evidenced by the recent superintendent selection debacle. You owe it to your city to become involved in the schools. Be there. ’nuff said.

Candidates accepting so far include Allen Williams, Melisza Campos, Willa Powell and Malik Evans.

Side note: This church was built in the late 50’s after its original church was torn down to make way for Midtown.
