This article talks about a "rival" study that says NY is growing. Of course, both ARE special interest groups so they have an agenda in all this. I think it's better for us to look at our hometown (or county) and ask, "Are we doing better?" I can honestly say in Orleans County (with complete Republican rule here) that we aren't.

You know, I wrote about the Orleans County impact of this and stlo7 covered the Monroe, but this is really all about upstate and how terrible the economic conditions are. I keep hearing things like "we're growing" and "our economy is improving" and none of that is happening. It's pretty disappointing, but not anything that wasn't expected. Upstate has been struggling for years.

No kidding. (I'm not being snarky here). You may know this however, the bulk of the people reading that article in today's paper do not. They took it as news. That is unfortunate.

Look at the Press Release and the article. Compare them.

Oh and they are a NYS special interest group that rates an article above the fold.

i would like to point out that taking the business council's grades at face value is like taking union's stance on wages/working conditions at face value. after all, the business council nothing more than another nys special interest group.
