Good D&C editorial on Gonzales

We give the D&C opinion page a lot of guff sometimes, but they’re on the money today regarding Alberto Gonzales:

Gonzales, who wasted the unique capital he had to pursue such worthwhile personal priorities as attacking gang violence, isn’t off the hook because he defied calls for his resignation and decided to return to Texas on his own terms. His politicization of federal law was unconscionable. Congress now must determine whether it also was illegal.

When they’re right, they’re right.
