Bob Lonsberry, author
Something to brighten your morning…
Did you know that Bob Lonsberry is the author of a book called “Baghdad Christmas”? Here’s a snippet from the product description (via Amazon.com):
Baghdad Christmas is a war story, and it ought to be. Christmas, after all, was fundamentally an act of war.
And here’s a snippet from a review on Amazon.com:
Lonsberry affirms his own outlook that we are in a “two front war”: the physical-temporal war that involves Iraq, North Korea, and terrorism, and the second spiritual-eternal front that involves sin, secret combinations, and our salvation.
He also reaffirms a truth that President Joseph Fielding Smith taught:
“Satan has control now. No matter where you look, he is in control, even in our own land. He is guiding the governments as far as the Lord will permit him. That is why there is so much strife, turmoil, and confusion all over the earth.”
Here’s another:
The story had most of the women in our book club in tears (regardless of religious affiliation). It is a quick read (took about one hour reading aloud)…It’s a simple story and an easy read. It inspires faith in Christ and national pride.
I don’t know about you, but when I read this, I can’t help but feel proud that Bob Lonsberry has chosen to make Rochester his home.

Well, Gosh Darn - Bob inspired me to recall this tidbit. Seems this Utah Law maker agrees with Bob. Don Larsen extends the devils influence to immigration. Looking forward to the Don Larsen (Utah Lawmaker) interview on the Bob show.

Yep - pass a law, ban the devil. it is that simple.
Did Bob’s first two wives review the book?
Yes, good old Bob Lonsberry, that paragon of virtue, who went to Utah, married a Mormon girl, and then left after two days. This is the kind of person who ought to write passionately about the sanctity of marriage.
There’s no mention of this on his Wiki.
I’ve been meaning to do a book review…
No, of course not. I don’t think I would trust Wikipedia on anything political these days. Do you?
But Lonsberry’s little two-day marriage was reported by some in the media at the time, it is true, and Lonsberry has done everything he can to make sure that as few people as possible know about this.
I was kidding. I figured it would be a whitewash.
