Yet Another Reason to Support the Brodsky Bill

As we’ve reported in the past, the Brodsky Bill currently working its way through NY state government would build out our internet infrastructure to underserved areas, spurring economic growth there. Here’s a good side effect of that– the more wired a population is, the smaller the amount of corruption (click the image to view full-size):




The reason is clear– more eyes on the ball. When regular citizens like us can use The Internets to help do the research that the traditional media is too understaffed or corporate-constrained to do, everyone wins.

Except corrupt officials.
