Tobin on Stonegate

I know I’ve given Tom Tobin a hard time in the past, but now I really like most of his contributions to the D&C blog. I don’t always agree, but they’re generally witty and insightful. Here he is on Stonegate:
Yes, I’m talking about Roger Stone, the political hardballer who had the unmitigated gall, as my mom may have said once, to claim that, no, that wasn’t his voice on his apartment’s phone threatening Spitzer’s 83-year-old dad. It was his voice, his apartment, his phone. Pretty clear. But Stone says, no way, someone, a Spitzer dirty-tricker, got into his apartment, made the call, mimicking his voice. And I suppose wore his clothes, watched his TV and slept in his bed. And ate his porridge.

I’ve been enjoying his recent blogging, too. It’s funny, the blog format seems to suit him better than the op-ed format. He’s a little looser, I guess.
I guess it is an aquired taste.
