Battle Royal in D&C Forum
It started out as a a sweet little human-interest article about Karl Rove deciding to “spend more time with his family”.
It devolved into a partisan slug-fest.
Watch as our team: mike3717 and G.Melino, outnumbered 2-1, fight valiently against the 28-percenters: Soupy, JMB4, Mikey123, and rochester_veteran (a known freeper)
You’ve probably got better things to do on a Friday afternoon than to goof off on the internet…
If not, then check it out here.

This may sound totally naive, but do you think the right-wingers in the D&C comments section really believe what they are writing. Or do they have some financial interest like Lonesbury and Limbaugh, which leads them to say just about anything to garner interest. Its beyond the pale at this point, but I guess 25% of Americans remain blinded by their faith in Bush (oops, I mean Rove).
I think they need to read a simple book called “Being Logical,” because their arguments violate most of the principals of good logic. This is not even to mention the lack of evidence they provide. They cite articles by their own ideologues, instead of legitimate news sources, and then decry others for citing articles in publications like the NY Times and MSNBC.
Its just pitiful at this point. The emperor has no clothes, and he really needs to know.

Yes, I think they do.
It’s more than that. It’s psychological. In war they were the heros, going down with the ship, refusing to think that it could sink. In politics, they just can never admit they were wrong. Kind of like the White House when you think about it. They still believe in “Mission Accomplished” and cannot admit defeat.
In many ways it’s sad…and in others, it’s angering. If it were they son or daughter that had died fighting an American created civil war, and being asked to do what NO soldier in American history ever has in that respect, they views may be different.
But it’s the isolated view from their easy chair that makes it simple to manifest their minds. And you can bet they’ll be burying their gold in their backyards as soon as a Democrat or anyone else BUT one of their own is elected. And they’ll go silent for four years except in these forms of electronic media and blogs.
And in 20 years or so when they re-elect one of their own, they’ll be back in full form telling us they were always right.
It’s an illness, and I don’t think there is a cure for it unless we were to give them their own piece of land, nominate someone with Minerik’s persona as their king, and exempt them from the rest of society.
Anyone have a piece of land to sell?
Idaho is pretty.
I think Greenland will be available in a few years. Maybe we can stick them up there to ponder whether global warming is upon us.
