Brooks to D&C: Drop dead

From the D&C Editorial blog:
Looks as if we’re not going to get a chance to sit down this week with Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks , afterall.
When I returned from a late afternoon meeting, a voicemail message was left for me from Brooks’ communication’s chief, John Durso. He said Brooks couldn’t make our Thursday morning meeting because of other meetings. Keep in mind that we scheduled our meeting with her more than a week ago.
Durso indicated in the voicemail message that Brooks wants to reschedule but I was unable to reach him when I phoned back. His assistant assured me he’d get my message.
Just so you know.
John Durso is the man pictured above.

Wait a minute, isn’t he the Monroe County Spokesman? What’s he doing acting as Maggie’s campaign spokesman?
With a finger like that, he speaks for every Republican.
I’m thinking of a couple of scenarios. Maggie doesn’t have to meet with the D&C because:
1. I’m Maggie and everyone loves me.
2. Oh, no, Duffy is questioning Ren Square and people really love Duffy. I better lay low to avoid the tough questions.
3. The editorial board has a blog, and they can’t keep their mouths shut. One little joke and BAM! next thing you know she’s pistol packin’ Maggie…
This is what I’m thinking happened, too. It’s blow-back time!
Durso’s mother must be so proud of her boy!
