BREAKING — Sit-in at Kuhl’s office

My sources say it’s it is probably his Fairport (it seems to be Bath) there were protests in both Fairport and Bath (with the arrests taking place in Bath), but the Star-Gazette article doesn’t specify which one. I also heard there were arrests, which the article doesn’t say. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

A peace organization, calling for the end to the war in Iraq, has filled a local congressman’s office this afternoon. The group, Finger Lakes For Peace in Iraq and Recovery from War, is reading the names of troops killed in the war as they sit on the floor if the office of John R. Kuhl Jr., R-Hammondsport.

Update: A reader tells us that the office was in Bath.

Update Update: There were protests in both Fairport and Bath. The arrests were in Bath.

Here is News 10’s write up of the Fairport protest. There was video at 6.

We had a couple dozen people protesting outside. Many of which were surprised by all the positive honks we received.

There was also a protest in Bath by the Finger Lakes group mentioned.

WELCOME HOME, RANDY!

It was in Bath where the arrests happened. I guess people showed up to read the names of our troops killed in Iraq and Randy’s staff wanted nothing to do with it

Interesting. Who would have a problem acknowledging the fallen heroes of Iraq? Makes you wonder.
