From YKOS: Stlo7 and Exile signing off….

OK - We’re out of here. Just got back from the Teamsters picnic. Saw Jimmy Hoffa - no, not that one, the current teamster president. Listened to Mike Gravel discuss his fair tax plan and how we get 10% growth if it is implemented. I don’t get it.

We will have more later as we reflect on the convention. We have a lot of material that we want to post about but not the time as we head off to the train station. Nevertheless, in short, the experience was awesome.

From our perspective - what is important that there are multiple ways to get involved and getting involved gives you knowledge. Knowledge is, of course, power. Meaning of course - you have the power to affect change and shape the future as you see necessary.

Just some quick takes that we may post about later.

Listening to the Presidential candidates was enlightening. The candidates needed to answer questiosn on the fly. Clinton, Edwards, and Dodd did well in the forum. In the end - we would pull the lever of any of the nominee over the Republicans.

In the small world department. We needed to come to Chicago to realize that a mutual friend is now cancer free. (yea!). That took some stranger recognizing the name rochesterturning in Chicago Ill. Amazing

Technology is great but nothing is like being there. Virtually meeting people is no substitute for physically meeting people.

Juan Cole and George Lakoff are really really nice people.

But in the end - therre is no place like home. So we will be clicking the ruby slippers and heading back to Kansas Rochester.
