Too bad that it’s too late (I think) to have him run for county exec instead. Or maybe he waited until that deadline passed so he wouldn’t get asked to!

We don’t know yet why he dropped out. It could have to do with the Warburg Pincus buy out of B&L.

THis is really really great news. I know that there has been some back and forth here on this and other sites about this issue, but it has primarily been about the means rather than the final and most important issue; gettign Eric Massa elected. This is great news for all of us.

Well if they had Adam Bello’s name on the petitions, they could technically put Nachbar in if they got enough signatures…

Adam was on the petition for that singular purpose, but after issuing the public letter stating that there would be no candidate it would be dubious at best from his stand point I am sure.

I think that there was a deadline to do that by, but I’m not 100% on that. The county exec thing was just a passing thought since it was on my mind - probably not realistic anyway.

This is definitely good news for Eric’s campaign.

Great news!

I’m interested to hear why Nachbar bowed out finally, after insisting he was in it for the long haul. Still, I commend Nachbar for doing the right thing.

Again, like the last time, I have mixed feelings. Of course I’m thrilled that Eric is one the sole challengers to Rubber Stamp Permboy. But I think it is sort of sad that someone who claims to want to run for office doesn’t have enough staying power to actually show that he stands for something.

And I’m so curious about the timing of all this. Nachbar drops out of the running for the 29th just days after the Dems missed an opportunity to have someone run again Maggie.
