Minarik’s favorite candidate helps Democrats?

We’ve commented before on Stephen Minarik’s strange man-crush on Michael Bloomberg. Though maybe it’s not so strange given that his de facto endorsement of Bloomberg spares him the agony of having to endorse one of the wildly unpopular Republicans who is actually running for president.
But, if this article is to be believed, maybe Minarik ought to jump on the Fred Thompson bandwagon:
At this point, despite conventional wisdom to the contrary, his (Bloomberg’s) third-party candidacy would help the Democrats more than the Republicans.
Quinnipiac University polls in Ohio, Florida and New Jersey in the past month found that he is not close to being competitive in a three-way race, and in all three states his candidacy would be a boost for the Democrats.
(snip)
All (Ross) Perot did was scramble the electoral deck, getting 19 percent of the popular vote but winning no electoral votes. Conventional wisdom is that Perot’s candidacy wound up helping Bill Clinton get elected. The early returns suggest a Bloomberg candidacy might do the same thing for Bill’s wife.

Be careful.
That overstuffed shirt is probably 3 skipped beats away from another stroke. (Go Bloomberg, Go Bloomberg)..Jiminy, at the risk of sounding like a scold, I’d like it if you’d stay away from that kind of joke.
No one here wants Mr. Minarik to have a stroke and it’s not something we even want our commenters to joke about.
I agree. Jiminy– your comments have too much good stuff in them to risk diluting that good stuff. That make sense? Please keep posting the good stuff!!!
