Congressman (Not So) Kuhl
There is an article this week in the Hornell Evening Tribune by Staff Writer Rob Montana, “Kuhl says labor bill involves too much of a spending increase”. Kuhl has obviously decided that a 13% spending increase is too much. The DCCC criticizes Kuhl for “failing America’s children”. This appropriation would have helped to improve schools and increase teacher performance.
The DCCC statement was another criticism of Kuhl as voting along party lines. His potential opponent in the 2008 election, Eric Massa, has called Kuhl a rubber stamp for President Bush on a number of occasions.
“Obviously, they’re ignorant as to what really goes on here,†Kuhl said in response to the rubber stamp comments. “I think the President said he would veto the energy and water bill, which I voted for.
“If that’s being a rubber stamp, then I don’t understand what a rubber stamp is,†he added. “I’m voting for the people in the district, what they tell me they want to see.â€
Yeah, right Randy, you’re voting for what the public wants, alright! Every Town Hall meeting I’ve been to, someone has brought up the issue of impeachment. It’s on the lips of the majority of the public. Is perm-boy doing anything to furthur that cause of the people? And what about CMCE? Universal Health-care, anyone? Carbon Tax? How about getting us the Hell out of Iraq? He has no problem spending our tax money to bring a band-new firehouse to Rushville (I think they have 1 firetruck), or to finance a bowling alley in Canandaiqua, but money for education?-too much of an increase.
Later in the article, he has this to say about Eric Massa:
That Massa has more money in his 2008 campaign war chest - $153,105 versus $105,326 for Kuhl - is no indication of which way the incumbent is leaning in terms of the 2008 election, Kuhl said.
“No, as I’ve said many times and I’m saying now, my job is to represent the people and it’s only about 180 days into the term,†Kuhl said. “Mr. Massa, as far as I know, doesn’t have a job.â€
Doesn’t have a job?? Is this Randy’s way of demeaning Eric, while he denegrates the service of all retired military? Where’s your uniform Randy?
Pathetic.

Kuhl said. “Mr. Massa, as far as I know, doesn’t have a job.â€ÂÂ
…that’s right - he’s retired from an honest career - and he doesn’t have a gun either, or a drinking problem, nor does he beat his wife. It would be fair to say “Mr. Massa is NOTHING like Mr. Kuhl”…
Absolutely, you hit the nail right on the head (careful of the perm)
- when Massa stomps him, you’ll see his hair go straight. In the meantime, keep the shotguns and the whiskey away from the little fella.
Watch the language, please.
“If that’s being a rubber stamp, then I don’t understand what a rubber stamp is,†he added. “I’m voting for the people in the district, what they tell me they want to see.â€ÂÂ
Dish him up a bowl of alphabet soup and make him eat those words…
Under Fire on Iraq Votes: Kuhl takes No Questions at Town Meeting
——————————————————–
At a recess town hall meeting this week, U.S. Rep. Randy Kuhl was peppered with questions on the war in Iraq … but Kuhl refused to respond to his constituents inquiries.
“You dance around everybody’s questions,” said activist and Vietnam War veteran Gene Simes, 62, of Gananda, Wayne County. “If I was a congressman, you know what I would say? I would say, ‘You know what I’m going to do about this war? I’m going to tell President Bush that we wanted it ended.’.” [Gannett News Service, May 30, 2007]

Where have you been all my life, Randy?
