Lonsberry’s Having A Bake Sale
Gracious goodness, he’s selling baked goods to “support the troops”.
Maybe with the money he’s going to raise, he could buy them a couple of bulletproof vests. We still have soldiers in Iraq who don’t have body armor.
If Mr. Lonsberry was really interested in supporting the troops, he’d ask his listeners to call their representatives and demand a timetable for withdrawal. He’s not, of course. It’s just empty, conservative rhetoric.
My guess? The bakery gets a little advertising, and Mr. Lonsberry gets to sound like a righteous troop supporter.
Tip for Bob’s gun-toting listeners: Stay away from the Zylon vests. Seems they weren’t as effective as promised…

Hope he sells a lot of cookies. I think the Armor is $600.
Might be a good time to remind the audience of this post and how to solve the debate of which body armor is better.
I think your take on BL is spot on.
Well if it’s being sponsored by Lonsberry, it would appropriately be a “half-baked” sale now, wouldn’t it?
I thought this was a joke when I first saw it.
Lonsberry makes you pay to get his essays emailed to you when they come out. Why not give some of that “hard earned” money to the troops?
Not a joke. Ask for the Lons-Berry pie at Leo’s Elite Bakery in ER. It’s a mixed berry pie.
I think razzberry would seem more appropriate for Bobby Boy. Jeez…only what - 5 more years or so before he pops out another love child?
I hope there’s nuts in that pie…
