We’re making a difference
Sometimes it’s hard to tell if actions you take as a concerned citizen help at all. Are you shouting/calling/emailing/faxing into the wind, or is something happening as a result of what you do? Well, here’s some feedback for ya.
On the heels of jrviper’s report on Robach returning the money, I find out that the “Get Back To Work” ads we were running have worked! From the Albany Project:
It looks as if we now have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen on Monday. Joe Bruno will definitely be bringing the Senate back for a one day special session and it appears likely that his chamber will pass, among other things, the bill to implement Mayor Bloomberg’s congestion pricing plan.
We can’t know for sure what will happen this Monday, but hey, it’s a start.
Point being, you can make a difference. Maybe you made one call or email, but maybe that was the final straw that made the staffer throw up his/her hands, knock on the door, and say, “Senator, we’ve got a little situation here…”
