Henrietta July 4th Celebration: Where were the Dems?

My family had the opportunity to check out the bash that Henrietta threw for July 4th. They did a pretty decent job– they had a couple rides, entertainment, and even The Reptile Guys had a tent. I felt bad for the Henrietta party planners, though– the steady rain put a damper on attendance. Fortunately, it cleared up for the great fireworks display that evening.

One thing that was weird was, of the roughly 2 dozen tents, there were two for GOP candidates, and none for Dem challengers. Is it too expensive? Or is there a “pro-incumbent” rule that says only electeds can have a tent?

At least have someone there with balloons so when my oldest kid melts down due to “hypo-balloonitis” I don’t have to resort to getting them a GOP balloon.

I went to Henrietta's July 4th thang and all I got was this lousy GOP balloon.
