Great exchanges on the D&C blogs, part I

Just checking in here from rainy Sweden. It has rained every single day during my trip so far (6 days in Scotland, two in Stockholm so far). Haven’ t had much time for blogging or reading but the other night when I couldn’t get to sleep I browsed the D&C blogs for amusement. This exchange is a true classic of the genre of right-wing craziness (for context, the original post was about putting another Tim Horton’s somewhere in Greece):

What concerns me is that it is a Canadian company. Given some of what goes on up there, I’d rather my dollars not go there.

Rovebot, what do you mean by “what goes on up there?”

A communist medical system for starters. And they haven’t exactly been great partners in the War on Terror, either.

Don’t forget that between 1991 and 2001, there was:
A 44% increase in the number of Canadian Atheists.
A 129% increase in the number of Canadian Muslims!
They even let the mounties wear TURBANS!
Obviously a country on the wrong track. Not a very Christian place!
