Rudy: It isn’t my fault

Chritine Whitman is testifying before Congress today so Rudy’s folks are blasting her lest they share responsibility for ground zero health issues.

But lawyers representing 10,000 sick 9/11 first responders in a class-action suit said Giuliani and the city are absolutely to blame.

“Whitman is no saint,” said attorney Paul Napoli. “But when it came to responsibility for the workers, it was Giuliani . . . The responsibility falls squarely on his shoulders.”

David Worby - another attorney for the 9/11 workers - agreed that Giuliani was “more at fault” than Whitman for a lack of respirators and monitoring.

“Really, they’re both at fault,” Worby said, adding the city “did not enforce anything.”

It isn’t like we haven’t been talking about this stuff before (some links have been taken down but not all)

Rudy Giuliani – Who endorsed Bernie Kerik to the national level? Founded a business with Bernie? Bernie with mob connections and other unsavory aspects of his life. Rudy – come on you didn’t know? Oh and don’t get me started with air quality at ground zero. In 2001 there were air quality questions and in 2006, Christy Whitman is throwing Giuliani under the bus. I’m sure our heroic first responders operating without proper equipment appreciate the ground zero cough.

When the going gets tough the blame gets passed.
