Another loyalty test coming for Kuhl/Walsh/Reynolds
The Decider just vetoed the stem cell research bill that passed Congress a few weeks ago.
Walsh, Reynolds, and Kuhl all voted against the bill earlier. Now, it goes back to Congress for a possible override. Will Walsh, Reynolds, and Kuhl continue to stand by The Decider or will they stand by their constituents. nearly all scientists, and millions of Americans afflicted with diseases like Parkinson’s?
Frankly, there’s no way Reynolds or Kuhl believe all this nonsense about the rights of blastocysts — they know damn well that there’s no ethical dilemma, that they’re doing Bush’s will so they don’t get screwed on election money or earmarks or whatever it is they’re after. Walsh might believe it, but I don’t mean that as a compliment.
