Just a Monthly reminder of our cost in Iraq
Has anything really changed since I wrote this post?
Well - it has been 90 days since the 4 year anniversary.
March 16, 2007 the number was 3203
June 19 , 2007 the number is 3527
That is 324 fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters who are gone as time marches on towards the enevitable withdrawal.
Senators Clinton and Schumer, Congresswoman Slaughter, Congressmen Kuhl, Reynolds, and Walsh where will we be 30 days from today?

108 lives ended per month based on those numbers. Ever see that Star Trek episode where a chess game is being played by two opposing sides and each time there is a losing move, the team that loses sacrifices one of its citizens for real. That’s how they conducted the war. It’s called “Plato’s Children” I believe. I will never forget that episode b/c I was a kid and it really showed the uselessness of war and the callous disregard for life.
Great analogy. I like the way you think!
I found the episode on YouTube and it’s called “A Taste of Armageddon.” I mixed it up with one about chess, but this link is the one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4Wn2wlOwSU
This episode is war at its worst. Should we send it to Pres. Bush?
