Bloomberg out of the GOP

I just saw this….

NEW YORK — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday switched his party status from Republican to unaffiliated, a stunning move certain to be seen as a prelude to an independent presidential bid that would upend the 2008 race.

The billionaire former CEO, who was a lifelong Democrat before he switched to the GOP for his first mayoral run, said the change in voter registration does not mean he is running for president.

Isn’t this the same guy that Steve Minarik backed for president? I wonder if Steve feels the same way this morning now that his candidate is no longer a member of the Republican Party? As for Bloomberg, he does not stand a chance in Hades of winning. He won’t even come close to what Ross Perot pulled off in the 1992 election when Perot won 19 % of the votes cast, but didn’t gain one vote in the Electorial College.
