Ship of fools

Clockwise around the table are President Bush, Randy, Rep. Tom Reynolds (R-Clarence), Rep. Sherry Boehlert (R-New Hartford), and Rep. Jim Walsh (R-Syracuse), all aboard Air Force One.
This is from Randy’s website. I guess someone didn’t get the memo about Bush’s 24 percent approval rating in New York State. And before anyone says “yeah, but that’s cos there’s no Republicans downstate”, check this out: the Decider’s approval rating among New York State Republicans is only 49 percent. Among New York State conservatives (self-described), it’s only 43 percent.

Oh, what a peach our Randy is !!
I read today that Louse is planning to vote yes to continue funding the war today? Anyone know if this is true?

I am so pissed at the Democratic party right now I think I could put my fish right through my desk. I can’t believe they are backing down so easily….though I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard too.
I’m not happy about any of this, but I’m inclined to cut the Democrats in Congress a certain amount of slack. They’re in a tough spot. I hate myself for getting all Tom Friedman here, but I’m giving them til September.
If they forced a vote on the veto, just about every republican would have been forced to change their votes
Slack for what? For being spineless and backing down yet again?
At least 400 more Americans will die in Iraq by September, at a clip of 100 a month. How many more until we finally get out? I can’t think of a worse betrayal to our troops and us than passing a black check to continue this horribly destructive policy that makes us less safe and keeps killing our troops.
They are not in a tough spot, they passed a bill, Bush vetoed it….send the same one back. This a stab in the back that I will not forget.
Your fish ?? That sounds nasty !!
That would be pretty nasty….perhaps that should be my fist instead.
P.S. - my last comment never showed up, but when I tried to re-post it said I had already posted, anyone know where it went?
NBC News reported that Bush said “It is up to the Iraqis when we get out.” Since when?
