The Brighton Lodging LLC depends on COMIDA to be viable - says the applicant

Listen to this 60 second clip. Just do it - Do it now

I said in an earlier post that this guy’s business depended on getting a COMIDA grant otherwise it doesn’t make sense.

Listen to the clip.

The Brighton Lodging LLC appears to have paid an extra 800K (the sellers made an 800K profit) for a rundown building. It has potential but (pardon the pun) the money quote comes about 30 secs into the clip when Manish says the bankers required a COMIDA abatement and he says the business isn’t viable w/o the COMIDA grant.

so, the transaction hinged on a COMIDA grant. so…

Who sold the property?

Who are the bankers?

What are the local connections to the seller?

Why on earth would a businessman overpay for a property and depend on a COMIDA hand out.

MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY WOULD SUCH A GRANT BE A FORGONE CONCLUSION!

Remember Judy and Michael were at the Brighton Public forum taking notes.

Paging an intrepid reporter. Paging an intrepid reporter.

Follow the money, follow the money……sounds like a corrupt deal to me. Who has oversight of COMIDA? Who can investigate? The AG?

The bottom line is, whoever gives big donations to Steve and Maggie will get their COMIDA grant. That’s right, ncroc-follow the money!
